Rainstorming – Scotland Weather
Regarding Scotland weather, I read one time that the Inuit have thirty words for snow. Och, that’s nothing! We Scots have at least that many for RAIN. Discussion of the weather is de rigueur in the Scottish lexicon of good manners. It’s the “opening line” for any social situation. Our primary form of greeting for friends and strangers alike is generally a comment about the weather. And of the weather much can be said. More

Classic British Cars, a.k.a My Husband and The Blonde
I admit I don’t like cars- not even classic British cars! Not vehicles, automobiles, hot rods, wee jalopies, Cadillacs, Fords, Beemers, or otherwise. I tolerate them for transportation purposes only. And I especially don’t like lorries, trucks or great big, noisy, petrol/gas-guzzling sixteen wheeler behemoths used primarily to intimidate me on the highway. Sorry, lads. More

New Year Resolutions (the Joyce Method) Free!!
In November and December you take a hard look at yourself. You’ve gained weight; you’re drinking too much; you haven’t exercised for months (your favourite chair is permanently moulded to the shape of your expanding rear end); you forgot to call your mother again this weekend. Add your own sins to this list.Problem is, January the first arrives, and you’ve been out First-Footin’ till 5 a.m. This was the day you had planned to walk two miles!!! More
